Everyone who want to have a garden must understand that this is not just a quick and easy pleasure of having plants around you – which is great, of course, – but also about the knowledge that you must have to plan and get a beautiful garden that you need. This is not difficult, this is just about some knowledge.
Before starting to make a garden, please take these factors into consideration.
The place where you will have a garden. For example, you must make sure your garden does not stand on the ‘major traffic routes’ of your house. This is an easy planning – usually there up to severals paths that all the people in your house use and your garden should not break this picture. You see, usually the paths appear where people walk more, they are the natural signs of traffic. You cannot make people go another way if this is the only good shortcut to the most important places round the house.
If you also see that the place where you plan to have a garden has lots weeds nearby, then you will see how powerful these things are to grow no matter how you weed them out. They will disperse seeds into your garden and their power to grow is amazing.
The place should not be too wet, unless you want to have moisture loving plants growing there. But a portion of water drains into that area will help the plants to receive enough water. The ideal balance is – not too wet but moist.
Sun and sunlight. Usually 6-8 hours of sunlight is what a typical plant needs every day. You can simply plan this thing – just make note of where the sun rises and sets throughout the day and an average of how long it will be over the future place of your garden.
Soil – what to choose. Well, surely you can get any type of soil you need on the spot for your garden, you can buy plenty and put it where you need. But this is such a pain.
Still, for most of the cases you need to work on your soil conditions. You start with removing big rocks, roots and weeds. Then a lot depends upon what exactly you want to grow in your garden, because plants are not the same in terms of what they ‘love.’
What can be as a nice add-on to the garden is the running water in some natural form or in the form of a fountain. This is not a must in any case, but the sound of running is very relaxing for the mind.
Perhaps due to this any design plan for the garden has an option of some water feature in the garden. It comes in many forms to be able to satisfy all types of tastes and budgets. Plus, you will see – it gives a very unique looks and feels to the garden. This turns into a real heaven on earth.
